Mangaluru, Jan 23: World champion badminton player Vijay Lancy Mascarenhas visited Ryan International School, Kulai, recently and interacted with students, inspiring them with his sporting journey and achievements.

A former highest-ranked Indian player in the under-18 category, Vijay Lancy Mascarenhas later transitioned from a corporate career to sports management after completing his MBA from IIM Kolkata. He is the founder and CEO of Badminton Professionals and currently holds the world championship title in the men’s doubles senior category (above 45).

During his visit, Mascarenhas spent time with the school’s badminton team, engaging in an energetic rally session, sharing insights from his career, and motivating students to pursue excellence in sports alongside academics. He also assured the students that he would return for further training and interaction sessions.

The school principal lauded the visit, stating that interactions with accomplished sportspersons help students dream bigger and remain focused on holistic development, both on and off the court.

Ryan International School continues to emphasise all-round development by nurturing young talent through structured sports programmes and exposure to accomplished professionals from various fields.
