Mangaluru, Jan 23: The Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, successfully organized Hastakriti, a wall hangings making competition on January 15 at the Aviation Campus. The event was designed to encourage creativity, skill development, and teamwork among students while providing a platform to showcase their artistic talents. A total of 355 students, forming 71 teams from the BBA aviation management and aviation & logistics management and the MBA programme aviation management, actively participated in the event. Each team demonstrated remarkable creativity and innovation through the design and execution of handmade wall hangings using diverse materials, colours, and themes.






The event was organized under the guidance of Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean, Institute of Aviation Studies, head of the department, cultural coordinators and with the support of the other faculty members and student council members of the Institute of Aviation Studies, ensuring smooth coordination and effective execution of the event.
Based on the judges’ evaluation, the winners were Akasha, Adithya S, Kishore K Shetty, Manish Shetty, and Anvith S Poojary from I year BBA aviation & logistics management, along with Varsha, Nayana K P, Yashika M R, Sinchana, and Suraksha from II-year BBA aviation management.
The first runners-up positions were secured by Shreya, K Shreya Prabhu, Shreya, Amrutha, and Shivananda from I year BBA aviation management, and Simona, Bhagya, H N Swapna, Prajutha, and Deepthika T from II-year BBA aviation management.
The second runners-up were Pragathi Prakash Acharya, Deeksha Puthran, S Shivani, Chaithra, and Harshitha from I year BBA aviation management, Fathimathul Nasla V, Megha, Sushmitha, Kavya, and Malavika from III-year BBA aviation & logistics management, and Amrutha H J, Harshitha, Janani, Jayanthi, and Amina Ruba from I year BBA aviation & logistics management. In the PG, the winners were Vinu T, Ayshath Naziya Nasareen, Haseeb K K, Mahammad Hashim, and Mohammed Varis from I year MBA aviation management.
Overall, Hastakriti – wall hangings making competition proved to be a vibrant and enriching experience for the students. The event not only nurtured artistic expression but also strengthened teamwork and confidence among participants.
