Mangaluru, Jan 19: The Karnataka Department of Education has opened the window for students registered for the SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) Examination 2026 to download and verify their registration details, a move aimed at ensuring accuracy before the issuance of hall tickets and mark sheets.
A total of 9,01,080 students from government, private, aided, and unaided schools across the state have registered for the examination. The board has now made the registration information available to the respective schools, enabling them to confirm the correctness of student records.

Officials have urged schools to verify the details promptly, as “these details will be printed on students’ hall tickets and mark sheets,” a department spokesperson said.
The system also allows direct correction of photographs and signatures for regular, repeat, private, and private repeat candidates through the board’s school login portal.
For cases involving changes in language or subject, medium of instruction, physical condition, or social category, schools may submit a written request to the concerned district verification officer. Teachers are also able to download student verification forms to check and update information before January 22.
“The verification process is crucial to ensure that all student data is accurate and up-to-date, preventing any discrepancies in examination documents,” the official added.
This step marks a critical part of the pre-examination preparations, ensuring smooth conduct of the SSLC exams later this year.
