Udupi, Jan 18: The much-loved ‘Swaranjali’ music programme, organised by the largest digital and home appliance store Harsha in connection with the Shiroor Paryaya Mahotsava, concluded on Sunday with an overwhelming response from music lovers. Held at the Town Hall (Purabhavana), the event transformed Udupi into a hub of classical melodies, drawing packed audiences and reaffirming Swaranjali’s legacy as an integral cultural feature of Paryaya.
The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries present.

















Renowned Hindustani classical vocalist Savani Shende Sathe captivated the gathering with her powerful and soulful performance. Her renditions in Khayal, Thumri and Dadra showcased her mastery, leaving the audience enthralled throughout the evening. She was accompanied by Guruprasad Hegde on harmonium and Shridhar Mandre on tabla, Nagraj Shet on Manjira and Shrithi Vaidya on Tanpura, whose expert support elevated the musical experience.
This year’s edition carried forward a tradition that began in 2000 and has grown into one of the most anticipated cultural events of the Paryaya. For over 26 years, Swaranjali has hosted some of the most respected names in Indian classical music, enriching the artistic landscape of Udupi during the biennial festival.
Harsha, known for supporting cultural and artistic initiatives in coastal Karnataka, once again ensured a seamless and memorable experience. The 2026 Swaranjali marked the 13th edition of the concert series during the Paryaya cycle, further strengthening its reputation as a cherished platform for classical music artists.
Senior musician T Ranga Pai, CEO and MD of Manipal Technologies Limited Abhay Gupta, music critic Aravind Hebbar, Hindustani music teacher Vittaldas Bhat Manipal, managing director of Harsha Suryaprakash K, CEO and operation director Ashok Kumar K, marketing director Harish M, director of HR Department Suresh M, project director Rajesh M and others were present on the occasion.
