Mangaluru, Jan 19: Lourdes Central School, Bejai successfully organised 'LCS Colloquium', a celebration of achievements for students of classes III to VII on Saturday, January 17 at Bejai Church Hall. The programme was conducted with the aim of recognizing and encouraging co-curricular achievements, and overall student development.
The programme commenced with a guard of honour, followed by a prayer song that created a calm and devotional atmosphere. This was followed by a warm welcome address delivered by Sangeetha extended to the dignitaries, teachers, parents and students. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and pride as the achievements of the students were celebrated.
































The chief guest for the occasion was Akshata Kuppagal, K A S, deputy commissioner (Revenue) and chief finance officer, Mangalore City Corporation. Her presence added great value to the event. In her address, she motivated the students to work hard, remain disciplined, and strive for excellence in all aspects of life. She emphasized the importance of values, dedication, and perseverance in achieving success.
The highlight of the programme was the felicitation and prize distribution ceremony, where meritorious students were honoured for their outstanding performance in co-curricular activities at the school. The achievers received certificates.
Sanvika of class 5 shared her experience, expressing gratitude towards school, teachers and classmates. A parent Verina Joshna also shared her experience, appreciation towards schools’ efforts in nurturing students.
The programme was presided over by Dr John Baptist Saldanha, manager, LCS and guided by Fr Johnson L Sequeira, principal. Their encouraging words inspired students to uphold the values and vision of the institution. The efforts of the management, PTEC and staff were instrumental in the smooth conduct of the programme.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Vivita D’Souza, expressing gratitude to the chief guest, management, staff, parents and students for their cooperation and support. The programme was smoothly anchored by the Bindu and Nishmitha Pinto. The LCS Colloquium was a grand success and serve as a platform to celebrate achievements and motivate students to aim higher in their academic journey.
