Mangaluru, Jan 17: Krisben Music has been producing new Konkani music videos for the past six years with a heartfelt mission: to preserve and promote Konkani music and culture. Their consistent releases have built a vibrant online following passionate about Konkani art.
Recently, Krisben Music successfully conducted the Krisben Voice 2025 online singing contest. This global competition offered a mega cash prize of Rs 50,000 each for the male and female winners and received a very positive response from Konkani singers and audiences worldwide.
Building on this momentum, Krisben Music has now launched two exciting new contests for 2026:
1) Krisben Zoddem 2026
A unique Konkani wedding-song competition designed especially for to-be-married couples.
2) Krisben Little Star 2026
An online talent contest for children, giving young performers a platform to showcase their skills like singing, dancing, elocution, dramatics and instrumental performance and share their love for Konkani on a global stage.
Both contests continue Krisben Music’s commitment to spreading awareness, participation, and passion for Konkani music and culture across generations.
Contest # 1. ‘Krisben Zoddem 2026’ – A Celebration of Konkani Wedding Songs
Krisben Music has announced a contest for the couples who are going to get married soon, ‘Krisben Zoddem 2026’, to promote Konkani songs during wedding celebrations of Konkani people.

Why this Contest?
Konkani language, Konkani songs, Konkani traditions are worth celebrating. Through this contest Krisben hopes more couples will play Konkani songs, more creators will compose for this space, and the culture shines across every celebration.

• If anyone wishes to create new songs and register, or register existing songs, Krisben will consider adding those to the list of approved songs.
• Songs should be in Konkani suitable for Wedding Entry, First waltz, Saado entry, Vopsunn deevchem or any other wedding tradition.
• Song has to be in Mangalurean dialect.
Here is how to – be - married couples get in the fun:
• Choose at least one song from the list and play it at your wedding (via DJ or live band).
• Record the moment: capture and edit the video of that song being played.
• Submit the video to Krisben (krisben.music@gmail.com) with:
o Couple’s names
o Song title
o DJ or Band name
o Wedding date
• Entry fee: Rs 1,000 per song/entry.
• One may submit more than one song, but each song = one entry.
• Wedding venues could be anywhere in the world
Selection of Winners
• Contest is open until November 2026.
• The submitted video will go live on the song-owner’s YouTube channel.
• Couple will share the link and rally their guests/contacts to like the video.
• The video entry with the highest YouTube likes wins.
• Prize breakdown:
o Winning couple: Rs 30,000 + title ‘Krisben Zoddem 2026’
o Winning DJ or Band: Rs 20,000
o Owner of the chosen song: Rs 5,000 + publicity for the song + Contribution to enriching Konkani music and culture
Appeal: DJs, Bands & Wedding Planners
DJs, bands, and wedding planners are encouraged to motivate wedding couples to choose from the song list and spread the word within their networks. The initiative aims to make every Konkani wedding a celebration of language and culture.
Social Cause
A nominal entry fee has been introduced to help generate some income while celebrating the culture. Any amount collected beyond the total prize money will be donated to a children’s charity. Thus, as couples celebrate their wedding with Konkani songs, they also contribute to a meaningful social cause. Krisben stated that the fee is nominal compared to the expenses couples incur these days and that it is worthwhile to spend a small amount while also helping the needy.

Contest # 2. Krisben Little Star 2026- Unleashing Tomorrow’s Stars
Krisben Music proudly presents Krisben Little Star 2026, a global online talent contest for children born on or after January 1, 2014, open to boys and girls from all Konkani-speaking communities, across every dialect and corner of the world.
The contest seeks to nurture young voices, expressions, and performances, encouraging children to sing, speak, dance, play music and dramatize — growing into tomorrow’s vibrant Konkani artistes.

Rules & regulations
How to Participate
• Record the performance video (editing is permitted to enhance quality)
• Parents must subscribe to the Krisben Music YouTube channel
• Submit entries by filling the google form and send the video to krisben.music@gmail.com
• Send edited final video, and in case of singing and instrumental performance also include raw video (Sending the raw video is required to confirm authenticity/ensure no cheating)
• Krisben Music will upload the edited videos on their YouTube channel
• Contestants and their mentors must ensure that their speeches or dramatic performances are age-appropriate (up to 12 years old)
• Under no circumstances should derogatory or insulting language be used
• The organizers reserve the right to reject any entry that does not comply with the children’s theme
• Each child can participate in one category only
Key Dates
• Entry Deadline: January 2026 till April 1, 2026 ( Increase chances of getting more likes by submitting the video as early as possible)
• Video Uploads: Immediately upon receiving from contestants
• Public Viewing & Likes: Until April 15, 2026
• Note: Comments on videos will remain disabled to ensure a safe and encouraging online environment for children

• Judges’ Panel: 80 marks
• Audience Likes: 20 marks
