Udupi: ‘Sangeetha Vaibhava’ to add musical grandeur to Shiroor Paryaya 2026 celebrations

Udupi, Jan 13: As part of the grand Shiroor Paryaya 2026 celebrations, the Coastal Star Music Club, Udupi, has organised a mega musical programme titled ‘Sangeetha Vaibhava’ on Saturday, January 17. The event will be held opposite Kalpana Theatre in Udupi from 7 pm onwards and is expected to draw a large gathering of music lovers from across the coastal region.

The highlight of the programme will be a seven-hour continuous musical extravaganza presented under the leadership of renowned music director V Manohar. Organised as part of Shiroor Paryaya – Namma Paryaya 2026, the event aims to entertain devotees and visitors who gather to witness the grand Paryaya procession. Featuring a blend of Indian film music and light music, the programme will combine nostalgic classics with contemporary melodies, offering a wholesome musical experience for audiences of all age groups.

The programme is sponsored by Karnataka Bank, Thaamboolam and Kalyan Jewellers, while Stayinn Venkys and Seabird Resort have extended their support for the successful organisation of the event.

A host of popular and talented singers will perform during the evening, including Rameshchandra, Malini Keshav Prasad, Ravindra Prabhu, Gaurav Kamath, Ramya Sudheendra, Shruthi Vaidhya, Swathi Bhat, Reshma Manjunath, Rishika Mudlukatte, Sudesh Prabhu, Adithya and Sathish, who are expected to enthral the audience with their powerful voices and popular renditions.

The accompanying musicians include Rajesh Bhagwath on tabla and percussion, Bhaskar Basrur and Ashok Samath on keyboard, Vincent Rodrigues (Mangaluru) on lead guitar, and Jeevan Roshan Fernandes (Mangaluru) on rhythm pad. The musical evening will feature songs in Tulu, Kannada, Tamil and Hindi.

Adding special charm to the event, the main attractions will be performances by Junior Gurukiran and Junior Dr Vishnuvardhan, whose stage presence and resemblance to the legendary artistes are eagerly awaited by fans.

The programme will commence with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony by Tallur Shivaram Shetty, along with dignitaries including V Manohar, Walter Nandalike, Bhuvanendra Kediyoor, Ranga Pai, Vidwan Gurudas Shenoy, Satyendra Pai, Ramesh Vaidya, Suresh Shetty and Ramesh Naik.

The programme will be anchored by RJ Prasanna, Praveen Thonse and Vijetha Shetty, whose lively presentation is expected to keep the audience engaged throughout the long musical evening.
