Career Bridge Training Programme for UG & PG final year students held at St Agnes College

Mangaluru, Jan 12: St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, in association with the Magic Bus India Foundation successfully organized a six-day Career Bridge Training Programme for UG and PG final year students from January 5 to 10. The programme was designed to enhance students’ employability skills and prepare them for the professional world.

The sessions were conducted by an experienced and dedicated team of trainers from the Magic Bus India Foundation. The soft skills training was led by senior training officer, Joshua Daniel and by the training officers Fahmitha Shirin, Sowmya, Arshiya, and Syed Abdul. Technical training sessions were handled by training officer Ishika Ghosh. The programme was supported by livelihood officer Nikhil and placement officer Basappa.

The training covered essential employability-focused areas such as self-awareness, goal setting, communication skills, decision-making and so on.... The sessions were highly interactive, incorporating group activities, role plays, discussions, mock interviews, and practical exercises to ensure effective learning.

Students actively participated in all sessions and gained confidence, improved interpersonal skills and developed clarity regarding their career goals. The hands-on and activity-based approach enabled students to relate the learning outcomes to real-life professional scenarios.

Overall, the career bridge training programme was highly impactful and well-received by the students as it contributed significantly to their holistic development. The programme was coordinated by Deeksha, Prima Ferrao and Joylene Lobo, assistant professors of St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru.
