Mangaluru, Jan 12: Chandrahsa (50), a resident of Jappukuddaadi, Kankanady, who worked as a lorry mechanic and supervisor, has been missing for the past nearly five months, police said.

According to the complaint, Chandrahsa left his house on August 13 stating that he was going to work, but did not return thereafter. Family members said he usually returned home once every three months as his work required him to stay away for long periods. As a result, they initially did not suspect anything unusual.

However, when he failed to return even after five months, the family launched a search in several places but could not trace him. Subsequently, a missing person complaint was lodged at the Pandeshwar police station, following which a case has been registered.

Chandrahsa is about 5.4 feet tall, has a wheatish complexion, a lean face and a medium build. He is fluent in Tulu, Kannada and Hindi.

Police have appealed to the public to contact Pandeshwar police station if anyone comes across a person matching the above description.
