Strong winds topple chicken farm shed in Byndoor, losses exceed Rs 20 lac

Byndoor, Jan 9: In a sudden bout of strong winds on Wednesday night, a chicken farm shed in Gangnadu village, Byndoor taluk, owned by Harish Gonda, was completely destroyed, causing losses exceeding Rs 20 lac.

According to local sources, the region has been experiencing cold winter winds for the past two to three days, with Wednesday night witnessing a significant increase in wind speed, which led to the collapse of the shed.

Officials, including Byndoor tahsildar Ramachandrappa, panchayat member Santosh, and village accountant Vijay Kumar, visited the site to inspect the damage and assess the financial loss suffered by the farm owner.
