Udupi, Jan 8: Actor and director Prakash Raj on January 8 announced the commencement of coastal activities of Rang Kendra Nirdiganta under his leadership in Udupi. Nirdiganta, which has already initiated theatre-related activities in Mysuru, will now extend its programmes to Udupi, including theatre training, drama workshops, and theatre festivals.
Addressing the media at a press conference held on Thursday, January 8, at Udupi district Press Club, Prakash Raj said that the Nirdiganta Theatre Festival will be held from January 18 to 21 at the IYC Yakshagana Kalaranga Auditorium in Udupi. The festival will feature a variety of plays, including children’s theatre, and aims to promote collaborative activities with coastal theatre groups.




Prakash Raj further said that the inauguration of Karavali Nirdiganta will be held at 6 pm and will be inaugurated by noted literary thinker Fakir Mohammed Katapady. The inaugural event will be followed by the staging of a children’s play.
