Brahmavar, Jan 7: A. Chandrashekar Udupa (75), founder of Saligrama Divine Park and a prominent advocate of holistic health and spiritual living, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, following a heart attack.

During the 1970s, while pursuing his medical studies, Chandrashekar Udupa came under the profound influence of the philosophy and ideals of Swami Vivekananda.

Inspired by these teachings, he later went on to establish Divine Park as a centre dedicated to blending healthcare with spiritual thought and inner well-being.

Expanding his vision, he founded SHRF (Yogabana) as a sister organisation of Divine Park, through which he promoted yoga, nature-based living and Ayurveda, while also bringing spiritual healing practices into the public domain.

Chandrashekar Udupa is survived by his wife and son, Dr Vivek Udupa.

His demise is widely mourned by followers, well-wishers and those associated with holistic wellness and spiritual healing initiatives in the region.
