Mangaluru: St Aloysius alumni race through second SACAA Treasure Hunt

Mangaluru, Jan 5: The St Aloysius College Alumni Association (SACAA) successfully organised the second edition of the SACAA Treasure Hunt as part of the institution’s Founder’s Day celebrations on Sunday, January 4. The four-wheeler-based automotive event was flagged off from Loyola Hall (Gate No. 10) of the St Aloysius campus by Fr Praveen Martis, vice-chancellor of St Aloysius (Deemed to be University).

The event was organised by convener Sumith S Rao, with organisational support from SACAA president Anil Kumar and secretary Conrad Nazareth. The Treasure Hunt witnessed enthusiastic participation from alumni, students, and family members, who navigated a predefined route across various locations in Mangaluru.

The first prize was won by the team comprising Basty Vikyath Shenoy, Dr Vaishnavi, Vignesh Rao, and Vishal Salian, while the second prize was secured by Shaun Noronha, Nitin Bhandary, Allan Bangera, and Avniel Saveo D’Souza.

Prizes were distributed by SACAA president Anil Kumar and convener Sumith S Rao, in the presence of secretary Conrad Nazareth and executive member Edmund Frank. Winners received trophies and cash awards, while all participants were presented with certificates.

Mandovi Motors Pvt Ltd, authorised dealers for Maruti cars, and Ramnath Enterprises, distributors of Servo Lubricants, were the main sponsors of the event.

The SACAA Treasure Hunt served as a prelude to the Founder’s Day celebrations scheduled to be held on January 12 at the St Aloysius College Grounds, and reflected the strong bonds and camaraderie within the Aloysian alumni community.
