Mumbai, Jan 4: Reality TV star Jay Dudhane, best known for winning Splitsvilla 13 and finishing as the first runner-up in Bigg Boss Marathi 3, was arrested at Mumbai Airport on Sunday, January 4, in connection with an alleged real estate scam, police said.

Confirming the development, Senior Police Inspector Pravin Mane said the arrest followed a complaint filed by a retired engineer, who accused Dudhane and four members of his family of cheating him of Rs 4.61 crore.

According to police, the complainant alleged that Jay Dudhane and his family induced him to purchase five commercial shops in Thane, which were already mortgaged to a bank. The FIR stated that forged documents, including a fake bank clearance letter and a counterfeit demand draft worth Rs 4.95 crore, were allegedly used to mislead the victim.

The fraud came to light when the bank later issued a seizure notice for the property, prompting the complainant to approach the police.

Dudhane and four of his family members have been booked under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) on charges of cheating and forgery. Police said further investigation is underway.

Jay Dudhane, who is a model, fitness trainer and actor, rose to prominence after winning Splitsvilla 13 and later gained popularity through Bigg Boss Marathi 3. He recently married Harshala Patil on December 24, 2025.

The actor has not yet issued an official statement regarding his arrest.
