Haveri, Jan 4: Sachin Basavaraj Guttur from Karnataka made a remarkable mark in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination 2024 by securing an impressive All India Rank (AIR) of 41, placing him among the top 50 rank-holders nationwide.

Dr Sachin Basavaraj Guttur, a medical graduate from JJM Medical College, Davanagere, transitioned from his medical career to pursue the prestigious civil services. Hailing from Kodeyala Hosapete village in Ranebennur taluk of Haveri district, he achieved this significant feat in his fourth attempt at the UPSC examination.

His UPSC journey was marked by persistence and steady improvement, overcoming earlier setbacks to finally succeed in 2024. In addition to his dedication and rigorous preparation, Guttur’s success has been attributed to strategic analysis of past attempts and focused training at a private coaching centre in Bengaluru.

Sachin’s achievement adds to Karnataka’s strong performance in the UPSC CSE 2024, where 20 candidates from the state qualified for various civil services posts, reflecting the growing presence and commitment of Karnataka aspirants in national-level competitive examinations.
