Kaup: Biker dies after crashing into bridge

Kaup, Jan 2: A biker was killed on the spot after his motorcycle crashed into a bridge on National Highway 66 at Udyavar in Kaup in the early hours of Friday, around 2.30 am.

The deceased has been identified as Yuvaraj from Subrahmanya. He was travelling from Mangaluru towards Udupi when the bike reportedly went out of control due to high speed and rash riding and rammed into the bridge. Yuvaraj was thrown onto the road and sustained severe injuries, leading to his death on the spot, it is learnt.

Police rushed to the spot and conducted an inspection. The body was shifted to the mortuary of Ajjarkad Hospital by KM Siraj and Jalaluddin in the Uchila SDPI ambulance.
