Mumbai, Dec 30: Renowned Jain spiritual leader and Padma Bhushan awardee Acharya Shri Ratnasundersuriswarji Maharaj Saheb is set to achieve a historic literary milestone with the release of his 500th book on January 11. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unveil the book during the Urja Mahotsav, scheduled to be held from January 7 to 12.
Titled “World of Love, Love of the World”, the landmark publication has been translated into 21 languages, reflecting the global reach of the Acharya’s teachings and writings.

For Acharya Ratnasundersuriswarji Maharaj Saheb, the achievement goes beyond numbers. It represents a lifelong journey of translating inner spiritual reflections into words accessible to society. Despite his formal education ending at Class X, the Acharya recalled once telling his guru, Bhuvanbhanusuriswarji Maharaj Saheb, that writing a book seemed impossible. “I couldn’t even write a postcard,” he had said. His guru, however, simply urged him to begin — advice that sparked an extraordinary literary journey that continues to this day.
Over the years, the Acharya has authored works spanning more than 80 themes, covering subjects such as personal ethics, mental strength, social conduct, spirituality and contemporary issues. His writings have touched on diverse topics including marriage, cricket, the impact of mobile phones on society, and even social campaigns he led, such as opposing sex education for very young children.
“I have written about things I have never personally lived,” he remarked, underscoring the depth of observation and reflection behind his work.
This vast body of literature has earned him two Guinness World Records, a rare feat for a Jain monk whose life is rooted in simplicity, discipline and spiritual austerity.
