Mangaluru, Dec 23: The St Agnes campus transformed into a vibrant arena of colour, rhythm, and celebration as Carnival Vibes 2025, held on December 13 and 14, concluded as a resounding success, drawing overwhelming participation and support from all sections of the community.

The carnival was inaugurated on December 13 by Sr Dr Maria Roopa AC, joint secretary of St Agnes Institutions, setting the tone for two days filled with joy, creativity, and togetherness.

The entire campus came alive with a lively blend of food stalls, game counters, textile and jewellery kiosks, and a host of engaging attractions that delighted visitors of all ages. A continuous flow of entertainment added to the festive spirit, making the carnival a true celebration of community bonding.

The stage reflected the inclusive spirit of the institution, with performances by students and parents, showcasing talent, confidence, and unity. Musical concerts, vibrant dance performances, brass band displays, and interactive spot games ensured non-stop entertainment throughout the event.

A variety of competitions—including Santa’s Got Talent, Retro Ramp Walk, Drawing, Mask Making, Dance, and Singing Competitions—received enthusiastic participation. The grand finales of singing competition was a highlight, with prizes distributed to the winners, recognising creativity and excellence.

The valedictory ceremony was held in the august presence of Sr Dr. Maria Roopa AC, who presided as the president of the day. The ceremony was graced by distinguished guests including Zakariya Jokatte, a prominent NRI entrepreneur and philanthropist; Wencita Dais, accomplished model, actress, founder of Wenz Modelling, and proud alumna of St Agnes School; Sushravya, the Golden Book of World Records holder, fondly known as the golden girl, who enthralled the audience with a mesmerising skating performance on wheels; and Stany Bela, chief / programme director, Daijiworld Media.

Also present were Sr Sarika AC, president, PTA and principal, St Agnes School CBSE; Pradeep, vice president, PTA; Liston D’Souza, ex-officio member; Neesha Fernandes, secretary, PTA; and Reena Ranjith, joint secretary, PTA.

Addressing the gathering, Zakariya Jokatte and Wencita Dais commended the quality of education and value-based learning imparted at St Agnes School, highlighting how the institution continues to shape confident individuals and achievers in diverse fields.

Setting a note of appreciation, Sr Dr Maria Roopa AC applauded the parent-teacher association and parents for bringing the vibrant vision of the carnival to life, and commended their tireless efforts, coordination, and commitment in organising such an amazing event that strengthened community bonding and created lasting memories.

Carnival Vibes 2025 was organised under the dynamic leadership of the parent-teacher association, with the management, parents, teachers, and students working hand in hand, each playing an integral role in the success of the event. The overwhelming public response witnessed on both days stood as a testament to this collective effort.
