Mumbai, Dec 22: Global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas opened up about her daughter Malti Marie Jonas’ fascination with India and its traditions during her appearance on the opening episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 4.

Priyanka revealed that Malti, who often travels with her to India, loves the idea of being an “Indian princess.” “Malti has seen a lot of places—from Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad to Ayodhya. I am trying to help her know more about Indian culture, traditions, and values,” Priyanka said. She added that whenever her daughter wears a ghagra choli, she proudly calls herself an Indian princess and enjoys wearing a bindi, bangles, and other traditional accessories. Co-host Navjyot Singh Sidhu playfully commented, “A queen’s daughter will obviously call herself a princess,” referring to Priyanka.

The actress also shared a glimpse into her personal life, recalling a memorable Karva Chauth celebration with her husband, American pop star Nick Jonas. “He took me in his plane above the clouds and we broke our fast after seeing the moon,” she said. Priyanka also mentioned how her mother-in-law sends her sargi every year for the festival.

Priyanka had flown to India specifically to shoot the first episode of Kapil Sharma’s talk show, marking the start of its fourth season. She had shared an in-flight selfie ahead of the shoot, expressing her excitement about the episode.

On the professional front, Priyanka was recently in Hyderabad for the shoot of her upcoming film Varanasi, starring South superstar Mahesh Babu and directed by SS Rajamouli.
