Visually impaired chef Pinky Mangal teams up with Preeti Agarwal for MasterChef India

Mumbai, Dec 19: This season of MasterChef India is set to showcase a remarkable story of resilience and determination as the contestant duo Pinky Mangal and Preeti Agarwal step into the kitchen.

Hailing from Indore, Pinky Mangal is a homemaker who lost her eyesight due to retinal pigmentation. Despite her visual impairment, she continues to cook independently, navigating the kitchen with remarkable confidence and skill. Over the years, Pinky has competed in the Golden Eye Chef Contest from 2021 to 2025, earning three Jury Awards and four People’s Choice Awards for her culinary talent.

“I have been cooking independently for years, and representing Indore on MasterChef India is an incredibly proud moment for me,” Pinky shared. “It’s a platform where the best in the country showcase their skills, and I am honoured to bring pride to my city and country.”

Her teammate Preeti Agarwal praised Pinky’s artistry and determination, saying, “As a jodi, we are unique. Together, we will ensure Indore’s name shines nationally and internationally. We aim to make India proud with our skill and dedication.”

The duo’s extraordinary spirit left the judges deeply impressed. Chef Ranveer Brar lauded Pinky’s perseverance, calling her “extraordinary” and an inspiration to many.

This season’s judging panel, featuring Chef Vikas Khanna, Chef Ranveer Brar, and Chef Kunal Kapoor, will witness the unstoppable energy and resilience of the maami–saas and bahu duo, as they cook their way through the competition, embodying the spirit of determination and passion that MasterChef India celebrates.
