India aims to clinch series as final T20I against South Africa set for Ahmedabad

Daijiworld Media Network - Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, Dec 19: The fifth and final T20 International of the ongoing men’s cricket series between India and South Africa will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium here on Friday, with the match scheduled to begin at 7 pm.

Led by Suryakumar Yadav, India currently enjoy a 2-1 lead in the five-match series and will be keen to seal the contest against the visiting Proteas with a win in the decider.

The fourth T20I, which was to be held at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on Wednesday, was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to extreme fog, denying fans a potential series-clinching opportunity for the hosts.

With conditions expected to be clear in Ahmedabad, an exciting finale is on the cards as both teams look to end the series on a high.
