Mangaluru, Dec 18: The Department of Business Administration (UG), School of Business and Management, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, successfully organized a guest talk titled “Digital safety first: Guarding against cyber frauds” on December 17 at L F Rasquinha Hall.
The programme commenced with a prayer sung by the college choir team, invoking a meaningful start to the session. The welcome address was delivered by the staff convener, who introduced the theme and emphasized the relevance of cyber safety in the digital age.







Maruthi P, PSI, South police station, Pandeshwara, served as the resource person and provided valuable insights into various types of cyber frauds and preventive measures.
Babu, ASI, Mangaluru North police station, Bunder, graced the occasion as the special invitee. The session was informative and interactive, helping students understand real-life cybercrime scenarios and safety practices.
The vote of thanks was proposed by the staff convener Carrel Sharel Pereira, expressing gratitude to the speakers and participants.
The programme concluded successfully with active participation from students and faculty members. As many as 450 Undergraduate students benefitted from this session.
