Puttur, Dec 18: An Eicher lorry rammed into a roadside shop after being hit by another lorry from behind at Nellyadi on December 17 evening.

The incident occurred when goods were being unloaded from the Eicher lorry on the service road at Nellyadi, where highway widening works are underway.

Another lorry coming from behind reportedly crashed into the stationary vehicle, causing the Eicher lorry to veer off the road and crash into a shop, leading to panic in the area.

The shop and the lorry sustained damage, and traffic movement was disrupted for some time.

Police rushed to the spot, cleared the vehicles and restored smooth flow of traffic.
