Udupi, Dec 15: The Play Achool and Kindergarten section of St Cecily’s English Medium Higher Primary School celebrated its Annual Day, “Sparkling Stars Day” with boundless excitement, joy, and cheerful spirit of its budding stars.
The school auditorium buzzed with a vibrant aura of happiness as parents, teachers, and guests took the seats with eager pride to watch the apples of their eyes light up the stage.
The event was graced by the chief guest Akhilesh Devadiga, a renowned advocate along with vice principal Sr Preethi Savitha A C, Kindergarten coordinator Sr Priya Maria A C, joint secretary of the school Sr Preethi Crasta A C and Sr Mayola headmistress of St Cecily’s Kannada Medium School.
Iniya and Daiwik, the charming young hosts, led the programme with confidence and delightful poise.The curtains rose to a soulful prayer dance by LKG students, followed by a warm welcome address by students of UKG. The floral welcome and the introduction of the chief guest infused the audience with radiant smiles of appreciation.
The school report offered a glimpse into a joyful year of learning, creativity, and growth. This was followed by a series of vibrant performances - Play School’s adorable Dancing Sprout’s, LKG touching ‘Dance for Mummy and Daddy’ and UKG’s lively ‘Colours of Kerala’ leaving the audience enchanted.
The chief guest, Akhilesh Devadiga applauded the sparkling stars for their confidence and talent and shared an inspiring message encouraging parents and teachers to nurture every child’s curiosity and unique potential. His words added warmth and meaning to the celebration.
A festive cheer swept across the auditorium as the children presented a delightful Christmas tale, filling hearts with joy and spirit of the season. The programme concluded with a gracious vote of thanks, followed by the National Anthem, marking another proud and memorable day in the annals of the school.
