U-19 Asia Cup 2025 begins in Dubai; India opens campaign against UAE

Dubai, Dec 12: The ACC Under-19 Asia Cup 2025 kicked off this morning in Dubai, with hosts United Arab Emirates winning the toss and putting Ayush Mhatre-led India in to bat in the tournament opener at the ICC Academy Ground.

India’s squad features young sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, adding excitement as the Men-in-Blue gear up for their high-voltage clash against arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday.

Eight teams are competing in two groups. India finds itself in Group A alongside UAE, Pakistan and Malaysia. Group B consists of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Nepal.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, while the final is scheduled for December 21.
