Mangalore, Dec 9: Srinivas University, in association with Srinivas Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre (SIMS & RC), inaugurated the global biomedical synthesis international conference SIMSIC 2K25 – “Innovation from Molecule to Medicine” at the SU new campus Pandeshwar on December 9.
Presiding over the programme, Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, chancellor of Srinivas University and president of A Shama Rao Foundation, appreciated the intellectuals who willingly share their knowledge. He thanked the world leaders for visiting the university and enriching the students with their insights.











Dr A Srinivas Rao, pro-chancellor of Srinivas University and vice president of A Shama Rao Foundation, who was the chief guest, congratulated the organisers for hosting the first-ever international conference on biomedical sciences at the university. He explained that any disorder in the human body affects blood circulation, and subjects like biochemistry and anatomy are essential for diagnosis and treatment. He expressed confidence that new technological advancements are possible only through research, and many dreams— including nanotechnology developments—will soon become reality. The university will always support biochemical research for the benefit of society, he added.
Prof Rana Pratap Singh, vice-chancellor of Gautam Buddha University, encouraged students and researchers to observe the events happening around them and contribute meaningfully to the subjects they choose. He emphasised the need for genuine interest and dedicated involvement in one’s field of study.
Guest speaker Dr Rao V L Papineni, PhD, founder-president of BBC Cure and University of Kansas Medical Center (USA), said that interacting with knowledgeable people always brings new insights. He expressed happiness that platforms like this provide excellent opportunities for knowledge sharing.
