Mangaluru, Dec 6: The much-awaited grand wine fair at Kadri Park was inaugurated on Saturday, marking the beginning of a two-day celebration that promises wine enthusiasts an immersive and vibrant experience on December 6 and 7. The event, which has consistently received overwhelming public response in previous years, has returned this time following strong consumer demand.
Organised by Ratna’s Wine Gate in collaboration with the Karnataka Grape and Wine Board (a government body) and the department of horticulture, the fair offered continuous wine tasting sessions, entertainment programmes, and attractive discounts.

Visitors on the inaugural day were treated to an impressive display of wines from state, national and international brands. Companies showcased their latest collections, newly launched beverages, and offered a popular ‘taste-and-choose’ facility, which drew significant interest from attendees.
The fair also aims to educate visitors on the health benefits of grape wine, tasting techniques, and wine storage practices. Wine producers have introduced exclusive offers and special discount rates, making the event an ideal platform for enthusiasts to explore diverse grape varieties and make informed purchases.
Adding to the festive ambience, the evenings will feature live track music, while children can enjoy various games and competitions. A family-friendly environment has been created, encouraging visitors to spend the entire day exploring and enjoying the fair.
Speaking at the inauguration, the organisers said, “This year’s fair is even more diverse. We are introducing new products and creating an ambience for customers to enjoy the experience. We urge the public to turn up in large numbers and make full use of the opportunity.”
With the successful launch, the Kadri Park wine fair is set to attract large crowds over the next two days, reaffirming its position as one of Mangaluru’s most popular lifestyle events.
