Mangaluru, Dec 6: The much-awaited Annual Sports Day for the academic year 2025–26 was celebrated on November 29 with great enthusiasm and excitement at Ryan International School here. The event showcased the spirit of sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition among young Ryanites.

The day began with the march-past, where students from all grades displayed perfect coordination, discipline, and pride. This was followed by the lighting of the torch and the oath-taking ceremony, reaffirming the students’ commitment to fair play.

The event was graced by esteemed chief guest, Dr Hem Prasad Nath, senior student activity & sports officer, National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, who encouraged the students to participate wholeheartedly in sports to build confidence, discipline, and resilience. Guest of honour, Bhakshith Salian, athletics coach – Khelo India Center & Endurance Academy, Mangaluru, words of appreciation further motivated the participants.

Principal Vaijayanthi Hegde extended a warm welcome and highlighted the importance of physical fitness and holistic development.

Students from various grades participated in a wide range of athletic events such as sprints, relays, obstacle races, long jump, and fun races. The air was filled with cheers and energy as students competed with zeal, striving to bring pride to their respective teams.

The highlight of the event was the house-wise competitions, where the four houses displayed exceptional team spirit, determination, and unity. The drill displays and mass formations added colour, rhythm, and vibrancy to the celebration.

Medals and trophies were awarded to the winners, recognizing their hard work, discipline, and sporting excellence. The entire programme concluded with the national anthem, marking a proud and memorable finish to the day.

The Annual Sports Day 2025–26 was indeed a grand success, reflecting the school’s commitment to nurturing talent and promoting the overall development of its students.
