Mangalruu, Dec 2: The Grade 2 students of St Theresa’s School celebrated their annual Parents’ Day Programme on the theme “Oasis” on December 2 in the school auditorium. The programme began with a prayer and the lighting of the diyas, invoking God’s blessings.
The school warmly welcomed the chief guest, Padma Shri Harekala Hajabba, renowned for building a school through his humble earnings as a fruit seller, and the guest of honour, Nagaraj B Anchan, an environmentalist and social reformer.
Students presented a melodious prayer song followed by a vibrant welcome dance. The theme “Little Things with Great Love” was beautifully portrayed through inspiring performances based on the lives of Mother Theresa, Harekala Hajabba, and Saalumarada Thimmakka.
































































Both the chief guest and the guest of honour addressed the gathering with motivating messages, highlighting the values of humility, compassion, and dedicated service exemplified by these great personalities.
Correspondent Sr Shaila and principal Sr Lourdes appreciated the teachers and congratulated the students for their excellent performances. The school also felicitated the Padma Shri awardee for his outstanding contribution to education and society.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks followed by the National Anthem.
It was a meaningful and memorable celebration, truly reflecting the school’s values of love, service, and simplicity.
