New Delhi, Dec 2: The Supreme Court (SC) has stayed the trial in the POCSO case filed against former Karnataka chief minister B S Yediyurappa in connection with allegations of sexual assault on a minor.
Yediyurappa had approached the Supreme Court challenging the Karnataka high court’s November 13 order, which had refused to quash the case registered against him. The matter was heard by a bench comprising Chief Justice of India Justice Suryakant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi.

Senior advocates Siddharth Luthra and Siddharth Dave represented Yediyurappa before the court.
Earlier, a woman had filed a complaint at Sadashivanagar police station alleging that Yediyurappa had sexually assaulted her 17-year-old daughter in February. The investigation into the case had been handed over to the CID.
