Abu Dhabi, Dec 2: In a heartfelt call for unity, the UAE has invited residents across all seven emirates to join in singing the national anthem together on December 2 at 11:00 am. The moment, planned as a collective expression of pride, is set to echo across the country as people pause to honour the spirit of Eid Al Etihad.

The initiative, titled ‘Voices of Unity’, was announced by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs. Sharing the message on his official X handle, he urged everyone in the UAE to be part of the moment.
“On December 2nd, at 11 AM… We sing the national anthem united,” he wrote, adding hashtags that underline the theme of togetherness.

Designed as a symbolic gesture, the initiative aims to bring citizens, long-term residents and newcomers into a shared experience that celebrates belonging and national identity. The UAE hopes the anthem will resonate from homes, offices, schools, public spaces and streets, reflecting the country’s belief that unity remains its strongest foundation.

In keeping with the Emirates’ multicultural character, the national anthem has been made available in phonetic transliteration in both Arabic and English. This thoughtful step ensures that those not fluent in Arabic can participate confidently and accurately.

As the nation prepares to mark another milestone in its journey, ‘Voices of Unity’ stands as a reminder of the values that define the UAE. By singing together at the same moment, people from diverse backgrounds reaffirm a shared future built on pride, harmony and hope.
