Mangaluru, Nov 28: The accolades public speaking academy hosted its annual awards ceremony on November 24 at St Agnes School (CBSE), Mangaluru, transforming the campus into a vibrant arena of confidence, courage, and expressive excellence. The ceremony celebrated the achievements of students who regularly participate in the academy’s weekly public speaking sessions conducted at the school—specialised classes designed to strengthen articulation, build stage presence and nurture clarity in communication.
The event commenced with a prayer led by the students, invoking divine blessings for wisdom and gratitude. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and anticipation as the gathering came together to appreciate the achievements of the budding speakers.
A gracious welcome was extended to Adappa and Sanjana, the proprietors of accolades academy, whose vision and steadfast dedication have shaped countless young communicators. Both were honoured with floral bouquets as a gesture of appreciation for their invaluable guidance and commitment to nurturing confident young speakers. The academy’s faculty members were also felicitated florally for their tireless efforts throughout the year.

Sr Meena Fernandes AC, vice principal, in her brief yet powerful address, emphasised the importance of effective communication in today’s world. She encouraged the students to continue refining their oratory skills, highlighting that the ability to speak with confidence opens doors to opportunities, leadership and personal growth. Adappa too addressed the gathering, commending the students for their remarkable progress. He reminded them that public speaking is not merely about performing on stage, but about developing self-belief, discipline and intellectual curiosity.
The much-awaited awards segment recognised students who excelled across categories such as elocution, storytelling, debating and creative expression. Certificates were awarded to all participants of the previous academic year, while three top performers received special recognition along with gift hampers and merit certificates, celebrating their outstanding dedication and growth.
The ceremony concluded with a sincere note of gratitude to principal Sr Sarika AC for her unwavering support in facilitating the academy’s weekly sessions. Thanks, were also extended to the proprietors of accolades public speaking academy and their teaching faculty for their dedicated guidance, as well as to the teachers, parents and enthusiastic students whose commitment shaped the success of the year. The programme was ably compered by Tr Daphny, who guided the proceedings with grace and clarity.
