Mangaluru, Nov 27: The kindergarteners of St Agnes School (CBSE) stepped into a world of imagination as they participated in a joyful and expressive activity titled Story Stars Characters on November 25. The event was designed to nurture a love for reading, build confidence in speaking and encourage children to express their creativity through engaging role-play.
The classrooms came alive with colourful costumes, cheerful smiles and a vibrant display of characters. The little ones arrived dressed as princesses, frogs, fairies, superheroes, superwomen, Baby Boss, animals, birds, princes, cartoon characters and many beloved figures from classic and contemporary stories. Their lively presence transformed the space into a delightful storybook world.
































Each child had the opportunity to narrate a part of theirchosen story, sharing in their own words why they loved their character and what made the story special. It was heartwarming to witness their confidence as they used gestures, props and expressive dialogue to bring their characters to life. Their storytelling was both captivating and sincere, reflecting their growing language abilities and imaginative thinking.
The activity played a valuable role in enhancing vocabulary, improving language and sequencing skills, building confidence in public speaking, strengthening memory and fostering creativity. Most importantly, it deepened the children’s love for books and stories, inspiring them to explore the magical world of reading with greater enthusiasm.
In essence, Story Stars Characters blossomed into a delightful and enriching experience for the children. The confident participation of the young learners reflected the thoughtful planning and guidance of the principal, coordinator and staff, along with the dedicated support of parents. This imaginative activity is sure to remain a cherished memory in the hearts of our kindergarteners.
