Mangaluru, Nov 27: The kindergarten section of St Agnes School (CBSE) was filled with energy, rhythm and colour as the tiny tots participated enthusiastically in the Folk Dance Competition held on October 25. The event aimed to introduce children to the rich cultural heritage of India and instil in them a love for traditional dance forms. Dressed in vibrant costumes representing various states, the young dancers swayed gracefully to the beats of folk music. Each performance reflected the spirit and culture of the region it represented, and the students showcased impressive confidence, rhythm and coordination, leaving the audience spellbound.

The competition was judged by Ranjitha and Vani, who appreciated the efforts and enthusiasm of the participants. They praised the children for their expressive performances and the teachers for their guidance and creativity. The event concluded with applause echoing through the hall, celebrating the young performers’ talent and hard work. The folk-dance competition not only provided a platform for artistic expression but also helped children develop teamwork and stage confidence.

Following the success of the folk-dance competition, the kindergarteners once again shone brightly in the fancy dress competition held on October 30. The theme for the event was wonders of nature, which encouraged students to appreciate the beauty and importance of the natural world. The little ones came dressed as flowers, trees, animals, raindrops and many other symbols of nature’s marvels. Their charming costumes and creative dialogues added vibrancy to the theme.

The competition was judged by Vani and Divya Nayak, who were deeply impressed by the creativity and confidence displayed by the children. Each child spoke a few lines about their character, spreading messages of love, care and protection for nature. The judges commended the participants for their clarity, expression and stage presence. The event turned out to be both entertaining and educational, leaving everyone inspired to care for the environment.
