The programme aimed to instill in students the significance of the Constitution of India, its enduring values, and its relevance for the future of our nation and its democratic fabric.
The event began with the Constitution Day Pledge administered in three languages Kannada, Hindi, and English ensuring inclusivity and respect for linguistic diversity. Students collectively reaffirmed their commitment to uphold the ideals of the constitution and to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s growth.

As part of the observance, students were introduced to the salient features of the Indian Constitution. The session highlighted the importance of the constitution as the supreme law of the land and a guiding document essential for the existence, stability, and sustenance of a positive and vibrant democracy. The contributions of Dr B R Ambedkar and all members of the Constituent Assembly were remembered with gratitude for gifting the nation one of the most comprehensive and forward-thinking constitutions in the world.
A unique and meaningful initiative was undertaken by the school to mark the occasion. The principal, Girish Kumar, presented a copy of the Constitution of India to every class teacher and class council member. These copies will be permanently retained in each classroom, symbolising the students’ commitment to the values of the constitution and serving as a daily reminder of their duties as citizens of a Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, Democratic Republic. This initiative reinforces the resolve that the constitutional values entrusted to us will never be compromised by the present or future generations of Podarites.
In his address, principal Girish Kumar emphasised that rights and responsibilities go hand in hand, reminding students that we truly deserve our rights only when we sincerely uphold our responsibilities toward the nation. His message resonated strongly with the students, encouraging them to become informed, responsible, and constitution-conscious citizens.
To deepen understanding further, students were shown an awareness video on fundamental rights and fundamental duties, helping them appreciate their constitutional freedoms as well as their obligations.
The observance of Constitution Day at Podar International School was not just a ceremonial event but a powerful educational experience that strengthened the students’ connection with the values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity the very soul of our nation.
