Bantwal: Hotel worker dies after bike skid leaves him critically injured

Bantwal, Nov 22: A hotel worker tragically died this afternoon after a bike accident left him with severe head injuries. The incident occurred on B C Road, Bantwal, after the rider skidded and fell while travelling to town.

The deceased has been identified as Yashwanth, also known as Chetan (35), a resident of Chende Neerapade, Balthila village. The accident took place at Sannakukku, on his route from home to B C Road.

Chetan was employed as a supplier at Hotel Krishna Vilasa, located in Somayaji House, B C Road. He had returned home on November 19 from the Sabarimala pilgrimage and was on leave at the time of the accident.

According to relatives, “Around 8 pm, his friends called him to come to town. While riding his bike, he skidded at Sannakukku and suffered serious head injuries.”

He was rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru, but despite medical care, he succumbed to his injuries at around 1 pm today.

Chetan was an active member of the Vivekananda Friends Club and was known for his ever-cheerful nature. He is survived by his wife, daughter, and a large circle of relatives and friends.

The Bantwal Traffic police visited the accident site and have registered a case in connection with the incident.
