Face painting competition on theme 'Say No to Ragging' held at Srinivas University

Mangaluru, Nov 21: A vibrant and impactful face painting competition was organized on November 15 as part of the Srinivas University Institute of Physiotherapy's ongoing anti-ragging campaign. The event aimed to raise awareness among students about the importance of creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful campus environment.

The competition saw enthusiastic participation from 17 teams, who creatively expressed the message 'Say No to Ragging' through powerful visuals, colours, and symbolic artwork. Each participating team showcased thoughtful interpretations of anti-ragging themes, focusing on compassion, unity, mental well-being, and the importance of standing up against any form of harassment.

Dr Vijayalakshmi, associate professor from Institute of Education and Priyanka, assistant professor from the department of interior design, IHMT served as judges, evaluating entries based on creativity, relevance to the theme, technique, and overall impact. Dr Jahnavi K Salian PT and Dr Greeshma D Shetty PT, assistant professors of IPT coordinated the event.

The competition concluded with presenting of mementos of gratitude to the judges. The event successfully combined artistic expression with a social message, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to building a ragging-free campus.
