Karkala, Nov 20: A bus heading towards the Karkala bus stand lost control and rammed into a stationary rickshaw after the driver suddenly experienced a health issue near Uchchangi Mariyamma Temple on Thursday, November 20.

The incident occurred around 3 pm. The rickshaw driver had parked his vehicle by the roadside and was seated inside when the bus suddenly veered forward and hit the rickshaw.

The rickshaw driver sustained injuries to his head, hands, and legs. A female student walking on the road also suffered minor injuries in the impact. Local residents immediately shifted both the bus driver and the rickshaw driver to the hospital.

Locals said a major tragedy was averted as the road was not crowded at the time. The front portions of both vehicles were damaged in the crash.
