Gurpreet Singh wins silver at ISSF Worlds in Cairo

Cairo, Nov 18: Olympian Gurpreet Singh clinched the silver medal in the men's 25m centre fire pistol event at the ISSF Rifle/Pistol World Championships in Cairo, narrowly missing gold to Ukraine’s Pavlo Korostylov on inner-10s.

This is Gurpreet’s second individual World Championships medal, his first also being a silver in the 25m Standard Pistol event at Changwon in 2018.

India wrapped up its campaign on a strong note, finishing third in the overall tally with 13 medals — three gold, six silver and four bronze — behind China and Korea.
