Tulu film ‘Jai’ released by Dammam Billavas receives huge response

Dammam, Nov 18: The second Tulu movie in the history of Saudi Arabia premiered on Thursday, November 13, at Vox Cinemas in West Avenue Mall, Dammam, and Galleria Mall, Jubail. The screening was presented by Dammam Billavas, Saudi Arabia.

Speaking on the occasion, Sathish Kumar Bajal said, “Tulu and Tulunadu are in our blood. Wherever we go, we support the people of Tulunadu. ‘Jai’ is our movie, and this is the second Tulu film to be released here.” He added that releasing a film in Saudi Arabia involves a completely different procedure, and the censor board offered full support throughout the challenging process.

Sadashiva Poojary, manager of Intermodal Global Co., noted that Jai beautifully captures the scenic charm and culture of Tulu Nadu. He said the film highlights the real issues faced by common people and shows how the youth are misguided by certain leaders in society. He praised Aravind Bolar’s comedy performance, lead actor Roopesh Shetty’s promising talent, and Raj Deepak Shetty’s strong portrayal as the antagonist. He added that the entire cast has performed well, making Jai a wholesome family entertainer that keeps viewers engaged till the end. He expressed his best wishes on behalf of the Saudi Billavas, Dammam team.

Those present at the event included Dammam Billavas secretary and Yakshagana Bhagavath Roshan Kotian, Sundardas (Jubail), Vishwanath Suvarna, Mangalore Association president Praveen Peter Aranha, former president Gopal Shetty, Fayaz of the Mangalore Association, Jeddah, and members of the Dammam Billavas team.
