Qatar, Nov 15: Doha is gearing up to welcome the world for a spectacular new cultural showcase as Qatar announces the inaugural Doha Tattoo, a grand festival of military music and marching bands set to be held from December 16 to 20, 2025, at the iconic Katara Cultural Village.
Held under the prestigious patronage of H.E. Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), the festival marks a significant cultural milestone for the nation. His support signals Qatar’s commitment to strengthening artistic dialogue and hosting world-class cultural events.

Addressing the media, HE Major General Dr. Abdullah Yousef Al Mal, Legal Advisor to the Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, said the Doha Tattoo reflects Qatar’s vision of fostering cultural exchange on a global scale. He described the event as an extraordinary meeting point of military discipline, musical artistry, national values, and Qatar’s growing openness to worldwide audiences.
Across five days, the Doha Tattoo will feature military bands from seven countries, each bringing their rich traditions, melodies, and marching styles. Organizers say the debut edition will carry a strong Qatari identity, blending heritage with modern innovation to create an immersive and unforgettable spectacle for visitors.
Beyond the performances, the festival aims to celebrate military music as a powerful cultural expression, highlight Qatar’s artistic evolution, and reinforce Doha’s rising status as a regional hub for international cultural festivals.
With its first edition, the Doha Tattoo is poised to lay the foundation for a new annual tradition—one where precision meets passion, and where Doha stands proudly as the stage for a global celebration of music, discipline, and cultural unity.
