Turin, Nov 15: Carlos Alcaraz was all smiles on Friday as he lifted the year-end World No. 1 trophy, marking yet another milestone in his meteoric tennis journey. The 22-year-old Spaniard sealed his top ranking on Thursday after winning all three of his group-stage matches at the ATP Finals.
The trophy was presented at the Inalpi Arena ahead of Jannik Sinner’s match against Ben Shelton. “It’s a great pleasure for me to be No. 1 in the world again,” Alcaraz said. “I’ve worked really hard with my team every day. You don’t go through this journey alone — your team, your family, your close people are always there in both tough and good moments.”

This is the second time Alcaraz has ended the year as the world’s top-ranked player. He first achieved the feat in 2022 at just 19, becoming the youngest year-end No. 1 in ATP history.
“Having this trophy once again, with the same team I had in 2022, makes me really proud,” he said. “It means the world to me, and I’m truly happy.”
