Essential diabetes health check package from Nov 14 to 30 at Dr TMA Pai Hospital, Udupi

Media Release

Udupi, Nov 12: On the occasion of World Diabetes Day, Dr TMA Pai Hospital, Udupi has announced the launch of a special essential diabetes health check package, available from November 14 to November 30.

This initiative aims to support early detection and timely management of diabetes, especially among individuals at higher risk, especially those with a family history of diabetes, persistent thirst or hunger, increased frequency of urination, unexplained weight loss, fatigue, or tingling and numbness in the feet.

Speaking about the programme, Dr Shashikiran Umakanth, medical superintendent, said, “Early diagnosis is the strongest tool we have in preventing long-term complications of diabetes. Many people ignore early symptoms or delay screening because they feel ‘generally well’. This package has been designed to make this screening accessible and affordable. Our goal is to help the members of our community identify their risks early and take steps for maintaining long-term health.”
