Saudi Arabia, Nov 12: Saudi Arabia is set to transform the landscape of luxury and wellness tourism with the opening of AMAALA Triple Bay, an ultra-luxury coastal destination developed by Red Sea Global along the Red Sea. The project is expected to create 50,000 jobs and contribute USD 3 billion to the nation’s GDP, marking a significant step in the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 initiative. Beyond its economic impact, AMAALA aims to offer a unique blend of regenerative tourism, wellness experiences, and world-class hospitality.
Derived from the Arabic word for "hope," AMAALA spans three natural bays where the Hijaz Mountains meet the Red Sea, providing an approach to coastal luxury focused on wellness, rejuvenation, and connection to nature. The destination is designed to help guests and residents “live longer, better,” through tranquil retreats and adventure-filled experiences. John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global, highlighted that AMAALA balances high-end luxury with environmental and cultural stewardship, drawing inspiration from Saudi Arabia’s traditions of retreat and renewal.

The first phase of AMAALA will feature six luxury resorts, a yacht club, a marine life institute, a state-of-the-art marina, and a Marina Village. The resorts offer a combination of wellness, leisure, and hospitality experiences. Equinox Resort and Residences includes 128 guest rooms, suites, and penthouses with high-performance wellness facilities, while Four Seasons Resort and Residences offers 202 keys, lush landscapes, and family-friendly programs. Nammos Resort and Residences provides 110 rooms with private island dining and wellness activities, Rosewood Resort caters to families, couples, and wellness seekers with its Signature Asaya Spa, and Six Senses presents 100 pool suites and villas with a 3,000 m² spa. AMAALA Yacht Club is poised to become a global yachting destination, hosting events including the Grand Finale of The Ocean Race in 2027. Corallium, a marine life institute, and the AMAALA Hotel add to the offerings of the destination.
AMAALA is integral to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, with Red Sea Global projecting significant economic contributions and a Phase One investment of SAR 51.04 billion. The project emphasizes sustainability, limiting visitors to 500,000 annually, aiming for a 30% net conservation benefit to local ecosystems by 2040, and operating entirely on renewable energy.
Guests can access AMAALA via Red Sea International Airport, with direct flights from Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, and Riyadh, while luxury electric vehicles provide transfers to resorts. AlWajh Airport is scheduled to reopen in 2026, further enhancing connectivity. AMAALA exemplifies Red Sea Global’s commitment to regenerative tourism, combining luxury development with environmental stewardship, cultural heritage preservation, and socio-economic impact, setting a global benchmark for responsible tourism.
