Iran accuses US of sending mixed signals on nuclear talks

Daijiworld Media Network – Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, Nov 11: Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh on Tuesday accused the United States of sending “contradictory messages” to Tehran over the stalled nuclear negotiations through intermediary nations.

Speaking at the 12th Abu Dhabi Strategic Debate, Khatibzadeh said Iran remains committed to pursuing “a peaceful nuclear agreement” but will not compromise on its national security interests.

Reiterating Tehran’s long-standing stance, he said Iran “does not seek nuclear weapons” and continues to support dialogue that ensures mutual respect and stability in the region.

The remarks come amid renewed diplomatic efforts to revive the 2015 nuclear deal, with tensions simmering between Tehran and Washington over uranium enrichment and regional security concerns.
