Udupi: Missing boy found dead in Perdur river

Udupi, Nov 11: The body of a missing boy, identified as Shreeshan Shetty (15), a resident of Alangaru in Perdur village, was found in the Alangaru Holebagilu river near Perdur on Monday.

According to reports, Shreeshan had gone to the river with his friend on Sunday to take a bath. While bathing, he accidentally drowned in the water. His friend, frightened by the incident, did not reveal what had happened.

Family members searched for the boy throughout the night but were unable to locate him. Upon questioning Shreeshan’s friend, the police learned about the incident.

A case has been registered at the Hiriyadka police station.
