Panaji, Nov 11: The ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Goa has witnessed encouraging participation from voters, with 0.31 per cent of enumeration forms collected so far, the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) reported on Monday.

According to official data, 3,686 enumeration forms have been collected as of 4 pm, representing 0.31 per cent of Goa’s 11,85,034 registered voters. The SIR exercise, which began on October 27, aims to update and verify the electoral rolls to ensure accuracy ahead of the next election cycle.

The CEO’s office stated that the progress reflects both the positive response from voters and the dedication of field officers engaged in verification and data collection. It added that 99.59 per cent of the 11,85,034 printed forms have already been distributed across the State.

A total of 1,725 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are conducting house-to-house visits to assist voters in filling out their enumeration forms and verifying details. The draft electoral roll is scheduled for publication on December 9, allowing voters to review their entries and make corrections if needed.

As per the announced schedule, claims and objections can be filed between December 9 and January 8, 2026, followed by verification and hearings through January 31.

The CEO has urged voters to actively participate in the process to ensure that the State’s electoral rolls remain accurate, inclusive, and up to date.
