Bantwal, Nov 10: St Thomas the Apostle Church, Nirkan, observed Confraternity Sunday on November 9 with great fervor and devotion. The solemn celebration was led by Fr Ivan Cordeiro, assistant manager, Kodialbail Press, Mangaluru, with parish priest Fr Anil Roshan Lobo as the concelebrant.
In his homily, Fr Ivan Cordeiro reflected on the unifying power of the Holy Eucharist, emphasizing that it binds the faithful together in faith and love.
Following the Holy Mass, a solemn Eucharistic procession was held, carrying the Blessed Sacrament reverently through the church locality—from the church to Kadabettu Cross and back through the main entrance. During the procession, hymns were sung in Kannada and Konkani, filling the atmosphere with devotion and praise to the Holy Sacrament.
