Kejriwal slams BJP over 'Collapse of Law and Order' in Goa; BJP hits back

Daijiworld Media Network – Panaji

Panaji, Nov 9: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday launched a sharp attack on the BJP government in Goa, alleging a complete breakdown of law and order in the state.

Citing recent incidents in Pernem and Saligao, Kejriwal said murders, shootings, and daylight robberies have turned Goa into a “lawless state” under BJP rule. “Murders, shooting, daylight robbery. What is happening in Goa? This is a total collapse of law and order under BJP,” Kejriwal posted on X.

He further added, “Just in the last few days, a Goan opposing hill cutting gets murdered; citizens are shot at over illegal sand extraction; a youth is beaten inside a police station; people are killed in Saligao in a pool of blood. BJP has turned Goa into a lawless state.”

Responding to his criticism, the BJP’s Goa unit hit back through its official handle @BJP4Goa, asking Kejriwal to “stop commenting without knowing the facts.” The party retorted, “You ruined Delhi when you were in power. Now you’re trying to destroy Punjab.

Drugs are everywhere, crimes happen openly, corruption is growing, and mafia rule is getting stronger. Fix these problems first.”

The exchange added to the growing political friction between AAP and BJP, with both parties trading barbs over governance and law enforcement issues.
