Dubai, Nov 7: The excitement is reaching its peak as Konkan Yuva, the dynamic youth wing of the Konkani community of St Mary’s Catholic Church, Dubai, gears up for the inaugural Yuva Olympics 2025 a first-of-its-kind mega community sports and cultural event set to take place on Sunday, November 9, from 8 am to 7pm at Springdales School, Al Quoz, Dubai.
Under the inspiring slogan ‘Together We Play, Together We Rise’, this event promises a full day of competitive sportsmanship, entertainment, and cultural vibrancy, a perfect reflection of unity within the UAE’s diverse Konkani diaspora.
The Ultimate Community Showdown
With over 500+ participants across 18 registered teams, Yuva Olympics 2025 will be an action-packed day featuring Olympic-style events such as track races, relay, long jump, shot put, tug of war and crossfit obstacle race challenge.
These contests are designed to bring out the best of the community’s athletic talent and team spirit in a healthy, competitive atmosphere.

A Cultural Spectacle Beyond Sports
Yuva Olympics 2025 is not just about competition, it is a day-long celebration of culture, togetherness, and entertainment for all ages.
The event will kick off with a grand march past featuring all 18 teams, accompanied by the rousing tunes of the Konkan Taaram Brass Band. The day’s festivities will be hosted by the vibrant MC Vernon and MC Roshan, keeping the crowd energized alongside the beats of DJ Norman and DJ Avil.
Adding to the festive spirit, the official Yuva Olympics theme song has already stirred excitement across social media, becoming the anthem of unity for the Konkani youth.
Spectators can also look forward to traditional baila dancing, fun spot games, and housie housie during the concluding segment.

Established in 2005, Konkan Yuva is the youth wing of the Konkani Community of St Mary’s Catholic Church, Dubai, dedicated to serving Konkani Catholic youth aged 18–35 in the UAE.
